BUNCH RIDE
DETAILS

brooklyn dash

6:00pm
tuesday evenings
hornsby cycles

Leave from Hornsby Cycles at 6:00pm sharp. Pace is medium out to Brooklyn with a sprint at Cowan, a KOM at Austral Water Gardens and then a fast descent to Brooklyn Bridge.

Turn around then it is KOM to the top of the climb to Pie in the Sky, regroup then a fast ride back to Hornsby with Sprints at Cowan, Berowra, Beaumont Road and Asquith.

Any line across the road or a slight rise will cause a dramatic increase in pace. A great workout to hone that top end speed.

pearce’s corner

This fast bunch has been going since the 80’s and actually leaves Roseville at 6am and goes up the Pacific Hwy arriving at Pearce’s Corner about 6:20am.

In summer the bunch can get as large as 60 riders. Most NSCC riders meet the Dawnie at Pearces corner and then it is a fast pace through Hornsby and then Bobbin Head.

Then out along Mona Vale Rd through St Ives to the top of McCarrs Creek Rd. Down through Church Point and throug all the beaches ending in Manly.

Most NSCC riders turn out to the Terry Hills Country Club and then back to Turramurra for coffee.

Riders are encouraged to wear full club kit and represent the club in a safe and positive manner during all club rides.
riding etiquette

There are no official sanctioned club run training rides due to possible liability issues for the club.

However there are several rides where a number of cyclists turn up regularly and ride in a group. Anyone is most welcome to join these bunches but please be aware that you will be responsible for your own safety when riding.

Bring lights if needed and your common sense. Riders in bunches will always have the safety of every member in the bunch as a main concern but ultimately the club will not accept any responsibility for any accidents that may occur.
